The interviewer, Lindsey O'Connor, asked Burke if he had advice for people like me and he said don't quit....
I was thinking Burke, I really need something more than that tonight.
I kept reading and my ears perked up toward the end when he said, "You always believe in your gift. God doesn't make mistakes when he presents someone with a gift like that. It's there for a reason. Tell the naysayers, those who reject you, to drop dead! Who cares?"
This made me chuckle. I'm my biggest naysayer because I'm not even supposed to be writing the stuff I write, so I'm often giving myself a hard time about that.
Oh, well, next time that happens, I'll tell my inner critic to drop dead! LOL.
