Limited space is available. Teachers selected for the institute will receive six hours of graduate credit. Teachers are encouraged to explore possibilities of receiving tuition assistance from their school divisions; if no assistance is provided, the project may pay tuition costs on the basis of need.

According to evaluations by participants in previous institutes, teachers will acquire a new sense of professionalism about the teaching of written composition and the uses of writing as a teaching tool across the curriculum.
