Remember when I pushed myself?

The day I pushed myself I wrote about sending a *query through the mail because I wanted a magazine that shall remain nameless to ask to see my piece (The piece is a bio. OK, I’m still reluctant to give details just in case by some miracle I do get the letter saying it’s accepted.).
Well, I have not heard from them.
Every day I go to the mailbox (The real one outside. I know it’s weird, but as I’ve said before, some publications still require US postal services.) hoping that a positive letter will come, and every day the mailbox is filled with bills and circulars.
The strange thing about it is that I’ve been writing since 2004, so my skin is rather thick. I thought I’d be crushed, but every day I leave the mailbox hoping the positive letter will be in there the following day.
Naive? Perhaps.
Committed to trying despite rejection? Definitely!

*A query is a letter you send to an editor to pitch an idea for an article you’d love to write for their magazine/publication. Most of what I know about querying I got from the book above.
