I don’t want to give the impression that I think writing is easy. I’m not doing that am I?
Even though I enjoy it, I’m the first to tell you it’s the hardest thing I do. It's so hard I don't even know how to do it. Each time I start a piece it's like I have to learn all over again.
I liken it to lifting heavy things all day without a dolly. It’s that hard to me.
*Gene Weingarten says if writing is easy to you, "you're not doing it right."
I keep trying because that’s the way I express myself.
I can’t draw, act, or weave.
When I write one sentence that works it’s as if I painted something like a vase of flowers.
It’s strange, I know. But writing makes me smile like pretty paintings do.
